Session Title:
“Wildly You”
Session Description:
“It’s not by accident that the pristine wilderness of our planet disappears as the understanding of our own inner wild nature fades…The modern woman is a blur of activity. She is pressured to be all things to all people…When women reassert their relationship with the wildish nature, they are gifted with a permanent and internal watcher, a knower, a visionary, an oracle, an inspiration, an intuitive, a maker, a creator, an inventor, and a listener who guide, suggest, and urge vibrant life in the inner and outer worlds.”
~ Clarissa Pinkola Estes, PhD (WOMEN WHO RUN WITH THE WOLVES:
MYTHS AND STORIES OF THE WILD WOMAN ARCHETYPE)
This interactive talk by meditation expert, Shannon O’Dalton, will be an exploration into what it means to bring about a balanced mind, body, and digestion in order to reconnect with what is wildly and uniquely you… your true nature. Relieve all of the stress that comes from always trying to be something that is not authentically you, learn to enjoy sound and restful nights of sleep, get rid of migraines, balance blood pressure, and most importantly… discover your true wild nature
Having spent the past decade learning how to marry ancient Vedic knowledge from the East with Arts, Values, and Healing modalities from the West, Shannon will bring you a delightful stew of practical and relevant information that you can put to use the moment you leave. Participants will learn meditation and mindfulness techniques, physical and breathing exercises, and tips for throwing out these “one-size-fits-all” diets by truly learning how to eat right for your brain/body type.
Join us and learn to live a balanced and beautiful life as a “Wild Woman of Sonoma”.

Bio:
SHANNON O’DALTON is a Proud Mommy & Wife/Co-Founder of heART Without Borders/Meditation Teacher/Yogi/Dancer/Actress/Singer/Arts & Values Teacher/Mentor/Ayurvedic Practitioner/Marma Practitioner/Peace Activist/Little Blonde with a Giant Smile who is loving every moment of this game called life.
After spending over a decade in the Broadway community in New York as a performer, Shannon became a student, practitioner, and eventually a teacher of an ancient Vedic Meditation tradition and studied the principles and ways of practically applying Ayurveda and Marmachikitsa. This awakened in her a desire to teach the citizens, or heARTizens, of the world how to heal themselves through discovering, understanding, and balancing their unique bodies, minds, and digestive systems in an effort to become the best they can be and wildly and proudly meet the world as that best Self every day. She studied extensively with many Vedic Masters in Bali, India, New York, and LA and has now taught over 1000 people worldwide to meditate.
Shannon spent time in India bringing arts and healing to the very low-income communities of Pune and Mumbai for the American non-profit ASTEP (Artists Striving to End Poverty) and the Indian non-profit TEACH FOR INDIA. She then worked with MANAV SADHNA and THE NATIONAL GANDHI ASHRAM to launch an Arts School in Ahmedabad before moving to Sonoma in 2015, where she launched the education program for Transcendence Theatre Company with her hubby, Nick Dalton.
After she was gifted the best role of her life as Mommy, the O’Daltons decided to combine all of their Arts & Values based curricula to start the non-profit heART Without Borders, where she teaches meditation, dance, and theatre classes to folks of all ages. With a vision to help children and adults alike discover their unique gifts and strengths to better serve the world, heART Without Borders launched a de-stress program in Sonoma called “Simply Meditate to Create,” based on Shannon’s extensive work with the healers at WILDLY YOU. Shannon can’t wait to spread the gifts that come with daily self-healing and resilience practices to people all over Sonoma.
