Sometimes things just come together.
You drop the planning, the effort, the agenda.
You show up, attentive, responsive, aware.
You say yes to things unfolding in a new way…
And then they do. Better than you yourself ever might have planned.
And if you’re anything like me then you might laugh and cry at the same time at just how wild and wonderful this crazy adventure of living life in a human body is.
This year has been intense. For so many reasons. Personally, culturally, politically, globally.
I could go on, and on, and on about all the ways I have seen, felt, and witnessed the potency of what we have been navigating.
Instead, I’ll simply say, life is intensifying. As we evolve ourselves, our technologies, and our capacities to create and co-exist together at new levels, we are being pushed and stretched and cracked open. We are being called to face ourselves and each other in new ways.
I feel so strongly about the work I do for exactly these reasons. As I see it, the most powerful thing we can do in a rapidly changing and intensifying world is to plug into source and really hold the energy of who we be and what we want to see, experience and feel in this life. We are infinitely creative and powerful beyond measure, we just have to do the work of getting out of our own way.
We need to lift ourselves and let ourselves be carried. It’s not up to us alone. We need each other.
This summer has held some potent transformations and self initiations. What I realized deep in the core of me is that everything has it’s divine timing. It’s one thing to hear this spoken about and quite another to feel the visceral embodied understanding of your own divine timing.
We live in a success driven culture with a lot of flashy markers for what we deem as success. When our paths are the ones less traveled, or are still being forged anew, it’s easy to question if maybe we have “lost our way” and if others know better than us.
What I know is this: when we hold unwavering to our vision, to our passion, to our purpose eventually we begin to believe in it more than the doubts that arise from within and from the world around. When we understand who we are at the deepest level and why we came to play on the planet at this time, something begins to shift and success begins to live in the everyday moments.
The heart begin to open. To ask. To receive. And beauty unfolds.
Last night an incredible group of 13 women, sisters I have grown alongside for the last 25 years, threw me a surprise party in my sisters yard. Twinkle lights and tiki torches, low tables and big pillows, delicious catered food and champagne, beauty and love everywhere I looked.
One of my sisters read a poem she wrote and I understood, at that deep visceral level of embodied knowing, how loved I am. I felt seen. Seen in that way that makes you see yourself from an entirely different perspective and there is no turning back from that ever again.
This love, this beauty, this acknowledgement, felt like the home plate celebration after a seemingly endless series of powerful transformative events. All of it perfectly orchestrated to help me understand and take ownership of my contribution and my unique unfolding path.
Sometimes, in a moment everything comes together and you understand. You know who you are and that you have never not been that.
I feel so blessed and so alive with a revitalized clarity and I wanted to take a moment to share that energy of love and gratitude for you. My 25 year long sisterhood with these women is a profound mirror for me of who I am and what I stand for. This growing community is a testament of what can happen as a result of standing in purpose with unwavering vision (even if our path is a meandering one).
Thank you for being here, for saying yes to yourself and your body wisdom, for listening deeper for your own soul’s center, and for cultivating your capacity to trust who you really are. I see you and I appreciate you and I am cheering for you with all the love in my heart.
May you be blessed,
May we grow deep and wide together,
May our light transform the world,
And so it is,
And so it shall be.
I love you.
