Well, not literally stuck—but stuck in what to do next….
When was the last time you felt trapped because of the expectations, boundaries, and walls that seemingly surround you? With deadlines to complete, projects to wrap up, clients to impress, a team to lead, not to mention the house projects, family to support, and your personal health. And this is just the beginning of the list!
Are you exhausted just thinking about how you will manage to get everything done? You are not alone. Many of us are in the exact same place. Many of us find ourselves continuing to show up in environments and situations where we feel there is no escape. And as a result, other elements of our life begin to suffer.
You have just wasted another five seconds of your life thinking about it—another moment in time that you could start manifesting change in your life! This is your time…this is your life. It is time to reclaim it, and take charge.
First, consider your attitude. Attitude is the single most important element to claiming ownership in your life. We have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We have a choice in how we perceive and respond to the circumstances and situations in our life. In other words, we play a critical role in creating and resolving the situations in which we find ourselves—you are NOT the victim!
When we focus on self-doubt and feelings of inadequacy we prevent ourselves from realizing our true potential. We don’t allow ourselves to see our successes, our strengths and appreciate what is working well in our lives. When we shift our attention towards opportunities and successes, our potential is unlimited.
So, what are you choosing? What attitude are you choosing? And is that attitude supporting you? Is it helping you to move forward? Creating balance? Supporting you to manifest powerful results in your life?
This is your time to change.
Once you claim your attitude, it is then time to start paying attention in your life. Paying attention is about living with intention—seeking, discovering and creating the experiences that you want. When living with intention, we will start to manifest powerful results because we are aware, clear, and focused on what we really want.
Someone once asked me what they should do to be successful…I said, “pay attention” The same goes for you. You have the opportunity to have a voice, but you have to feel it and want it in everyday life. Demand it. Be courageous in the expression of your beliefs. Don’t loose sight of the big picture. Look above the details… Pay attention.
When we are paying attention, we are living fearlessly. Living fearlessly is not the same as never being afraid. Its good to be afraid occasionally. Fear is a great teacher. What’s not good is living in fear—allowing fear to dictate your choices, allowing fear to define who you are. Living fearlessly means standing up to fear, taking its measure, refusing to let it shape and define your life. Living fearlessly means taking risks. It means refusing to take no for an answer. It means refusing to settle for less than what you deserve. To those of you who have had to struggle to get here, who sometimes doubted that you were going to get through, remember this: you have already come too far to settle for less than the best.
Make sure the life you lead is the one you want to lead and the one that you are prepared to lead whatever anybody says. Once you commit to choose your attitude and pay attention, the results can be limitless!
This is your time to change. What are you waiting for?
Often, when many of us think about the result we want, self defeating behaviors get in the way of making them a reality. We begin to let these self-defeating behaviors take over and convince us that we will not be successful, we will not experience achievement…we will fail. This is where, we again have to choose our attitude and pay attention: Begin with the end in mind and anticipate the greatest outcome.
This is your time. It is yours to shape and master. This world is at a critical juncture, and so are you. Embrace it.
