Emotional Freedom Technique

Last week I had the pleasure and privilege to hear from two clients who felt hopelessly stuck in their food behaviors before we started working together six months ago.

Where are they at now? See for yourself ~

Here’s what Terry said:

“Marcella, I’m one of those people that’s tried everything in the world. I’ve been dieting for over 50 years! When we first started working together, I saw the power in Tapping. I decided I was gonna go for it. I tap every day now, at least twice. I’ll never be perfect. But I’m not worrying about what I eat all the time! I enjoy healthy foods, and it’s not like the struggle it was before. I just eat whatever I want, and I keep losing weight. I’ve lost 15 pounds without even trying! It’s slow, it’s not anything dramatic, and that’s fine.

I can’t tell you how much lighter I feel from resolving some of those old issues that I actually thought I already had come to terms with. I’ve been dieting for 50 years now, and I don’t have to anymore. This has been life-changing!

And then this from Dianne:

When we first connected, Marcella, I felt stuck. I’ve been yo-yo’ing with food all my life. And now I don’t feel that way anymore. I don’t feel a connection to it. I’m not worried about it. I’ve been Tapping several times a week, and my food now is very interesting. I’m not obsessing, I’m not eating crap.

I still struggle with portion control, but I’m not bound in it, I don’t feel like it’s part of my personality or who I am anymore. I haven’t been weighing myself, but I went to the doctor the other day and saw that I lost 6 pounds!

I know my perfect weight is not happiness. I’ve been at my perfect weight before. I know it’s what I become on the way to the goal. I feel that the rest of the weight I need to lose will happen naturally with the choices I’m making now.

What is the ONE THING these two women have in common?

They both used EFT (“Tapping”) regularly to diffuse the emotional stressors connected to their food behaviors.

They decided. They committed. And then they saw results.

And they’re not the only ones.

In 2009, Peta Stapleton, an Australian clinician and researcher, pioneered the world’s first clinical trial of EFT for food cravings.

Six months after the trial ended, participants´ cravings for the food they targeted remained significantly low. Their food obsessions decreased, and their restraint increased.

These benefits were maintained at 12 months with an added reduction in their Body Mass Index.

The study concluded that EFT could be highly beneficial for people whose food cravings contribute to their weight problems.
